The news is full of Pacific Storm after Pacific Storm, Flooding, Mud Slides, Road closures due to snow..... and this is southern California. We were so excited when we left Oregon and entered California thinking we had left the rain behind. Silly we. In Alaska and Seattle, the rule was 'If you want to do it, you must be willing to do it in the rain.' Who knew the same rule would apply to (It never rains in) California. There have been some dry days: We toured the Queen Mary in Long Beach - two super items: 1) miniature, furnished, cut in half (so you can see how it all comes together) versions of the Mauritania and the Titanic, (made me think how cool it would be to see a cruise ship like this) and 2) The Ghosts and Legends show (a little over the top but fun). We toured Disney's California Adventure (a new park to us) - My favorite rides were Soarin' over California (truly awesome), California Screamin' (smooth , fast roller coaster), It's tough to be a bug (3D fun but seems scary for little kids), The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Very cool), Sun Wheel (Ferris Wheel with rolling cages, a lot scarier than I expected). We also toured Disneyland (not our first time) - the new ride for us was Indiana Jones Adventure (Jerky but cool).
The rain has left us with more than the usual inside days - it really is a small apartment. Being cooped up makes Rich and Sue a little testy and Max finding new things to chew.
