We have been staying this week in Everett with Bob & Connie. Thank you guys, especially for feeding us so well! The weather has been wonderful; sunny and clear but so much colder than we are now used to. They have awesome views of the winter mountains from their home.
Monday: I saw Dr Jacobs (Oncologist) this morning. My liver and bone enzymes were normal - good news. I had a chest CT Scan for the pulmonary specialist tomorrow. I will need to see Dr Jacobs again in the standard 4 months (June 13).
Tuesday: I saw Dr Gerbino (Pulmonary specialist) this morning. He had reviewed the CT Scan and said that the lung scarring had reduced in size by 50%. He was now very sure that it was caused by the radiation. It may continue to reduce in size or not but either way it is not a problem. It is already so small that he did not think it would show on a X-Ray. In addition, he did not see anything else worrisome on the CT. He said he does not need to see me again. After the good news Rich and I went to see our old house and did the old walk on the bike path near Wayne Golf Course. The house seemed unchanged. During the walk I experienced the old shin splints I had in fall of 2003 but did not experience the chest pain of 2003 (Good news since the chest pain was the symptom of the recurrence of the breast cancer). Tomorrow I have a Colonoscopy (for some reason I am at greater risk for colon cancer having had breast cancer). This fasting for 35 hours is no fun at all.
Wednesday: I had the colonoscopy (Dr Ball) this morning. Everything was OK. He did not find anything problematic. I do not need to see him again for 10 years. Hooray! Saw both Dr Hughes (Internal Medicine) and Dr Visselle (Eye physician and surgeon) this afternoon. My A1C (blood sugar) was a little high, along with my bad cholesterol and triglicerides. My eye pressure is fine. I need to see them both again in the standard 4 months (June 15).
Thursday: I spent the afternoon visiting friends at my old office. It's interesting how odd it feels to see so much the same there when so much has changed in my life. That will not be true for my next visit when they will be moving or have been moved to a new building in Bellevue.
Friday: I bought new orthotics in the morning. (Had to replace the ones Max ate, hopefully these will not meet the same fate.) Had my dentist appointment in the afternoon and visited with my quilt group in the evening. I really need to start work on the hawaiian quilt.
Saturday: Bob & Connie and Rich and I had brunch with Sue and Al and their new twins Teddy and Nicky in Kingston. Thank you Sue and Al. The twins are so sweet, Teddy is 10lbs and Nicky is 14lbs - so little, so far to go. The weather on the water was wonderful, still a little too cold but so beautiful.
Sunday: We flew back to Phoenix. It is nice to be home, although the weather was better in Seattle.

So good to see you when you stopped by the office. You're looking Great! Be sure to pop into the new Bellevue office location on your next trip through... as I'd like to have another one of your big hugs.
YeeHah! You the WOMAN Susie! Way to pass the medicals! It's almost as if you were studying. I know what you mean about all the toys at the gym. You don't have to clean them and they aren't dusty. Happy Travels.
great news Susie. I am glad you are now back to enjoying the road. Sounds like some very nice places.
