Tucson (03/20/2005)

Well, the biggest thing that happened this week was buying the house and I already spoke about that here. The day after we signed on the house we went to the Sonora Desert Museum. The wildflowers were blooming and were beautiful, but the neatest thing was watching a family of Harrison Hawks that the museum let free fly for 1/2 hour. They were soaring and diving. It was awesome. I spent Saturday (8:30am to 9:30pm) at a quiltathon. There were about 30 women there at various times during the day working on group quilts. I had a great time, almost finished a quilt top for charity. I should be finished with it some time this week. It was a new pattern for me: a planned Crazy Patch (called 'Stack the Deck') in browns and blues. It will make a nice quilt for a boy next year.
Today, we went to the Tucson Fourth Ave Merchants Fair. It was huge and great. We kept seeing things we would like for the house, but it is too early now to be buying things. One of the merchants told me that they do this twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall so we will have some more time to get things.
My brother asked me about the Norris space wars. They are continuing although they are getting easier. There is an ad on TV now about change and it made me think about the definition of crazy being behaving the same but expecting a new outcome. And I have been doing the same things, expecting Rich to behave differently. I guess that makes me crazy. Anyhoo, it got me thinking about how I could behave differently to get the outcomes I want. So I have been trying some new things. We will see how they work, at least I am thinking about it. I will talk about this more as I see how various things work.
