Monday I was playing with Max trying to get him to give me a high five. At the same time Max was trying to get me to toss one of his toys. It occurred to me that we were in a circle very similar to one of the Norris space wars. I leave belongings on the dresser in the bedroom, Rich leaves the bedroom door open, and Max, since he can reach the top of the dresser, and everything he can reach is his, chews on my belongings. So the circle: I am trying to train Rich to close the bedroom door, Rich is busy doing his thing, not paying attention, and Max is busy doing his thing, chewing anything he can reach. The cool thing about circles, no matter how large, is that anyone in the circle can change the circle. I cannot guarantee a change in Rich or Max, but I can make a change in me. So since I am the one who cares, I am going to end this circle. I am no longer putting anything I care about on the dresser. I am finding other places to store these things. The circle could work, but it does not.
Tuesday and Thursday Rich and I went in to the strip and walked around the casinos. We went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and saw the Mystery of the Nile at the Luxor IMAX Theater. While we walked we took some exterior and interior pictures of several Casinos (see below). Tuesday evening we had a lovely dinner in the Paris Casino at the same place where we had eaten several years ago.
Wednesday and Friday I worked on my quilts at the quilt store. Friday the store had an all nighter so I worked on my quilts from 11:00am till 5:00am. It was great, I got a lot done, all my machine work. There were a total of 14 women working on projects. Most brought several quilts to work on but a couple worked on clothing. We had snacks and pizza to munch on. The shop has an all nighter every other month so most of the women were regulars. I came home at 5:30am, piddled around till 6:30am, and then slept till 10:30am.
Saturday and Sunday we did some shopping and a little gambling at a local casino. I can't say for sure about Rich but it was the first gambling I did. I took a $1.00 ran it all the way up to $2.50 and then lost it all. Sigh.

wow, I have not been to las vegas in so long, I did not know there so many little big fancy areas. How fun.. I am looking forward to retiring, though it doesn't seem that it will be within this year.
