Today we went to AT&T/Cingular to add Canada to our free roaming contract for the summer. There was no problem with our voice phones. We just pay $10.00 a month per phone and our roaming area includes Canada. On the other hand, they do not offer any discounts on the data lines in Canada. We will be charged $.03 per KB data upload and/or download. Right now we have unlimited access to the internet. It costs a lot but it is nice not to worry about data size. This new charge means that we will need to be very careful in our internet access in Canada. This will most likely not be too much of a problem in the early part of the summer as we will not be very long in Canada on our way to Alaska. On the other hand, after Alaska we are planning to travel east in Canada on our way to the east coast. We will have to see how that works.
I had my first medical test for this test cycle, the optic nerve photo. No results yet, it was a baseline photo at any rate. Bright light, I was seeing teal circles for a long time. This evening I went to my old Diabetic Support Group meeting. I was a member for many years. It was real nice to see them again and to hear how they are all doing. Also to hear about the latest meds for diabetics. I will have to find a group when we settle down in Tucson.
