Alaska fooled me again
In 1973 when Rich and I moved to Alaska, I was looking forward to the physical challenges of ‘The Last Frontier’. However, In 1982 it was the emotional challenges (the isolation and my depression) that led to our leaving Alaska for the ‘Lower 48’. This year it was the physical demands (the vast size of the state, the many things to see and do, and the long driving time to accomplish everything in a limited time) that placed a toll on our little band of scallywags. Today Bob and Connie left the group to return to the Kenai Peninsula to continue their visit to Alaska at a more leisurely pace. We will miss them. Have a great trip guys - we will see you down the road.

We enjoyed traveling with you guys, also. And we will see you somewhere down the road. (from Bob and Connie)
Also, we've really enjoyed the Kenai peninsula. We've spent 3 nights at the Kenai Princess RV park. We've visited the hot tub. Today we did a hike from Russian River Campground.
