200600422 - Century (Transatlantic Cruise)
On April 16 we left Fort Lauderdale on the Celebrity Cruise ship Century for a 12 day transatlantic cruise. We were at sea for the first 6 days of the cruise. During those 6 days we ate, slept, read, and walked the ship (to combat some of the eating). I walked the deck from 3 to 5 miles each day and/or used the treadmill in the fitness center. I read several books from the ship library, and went to several live shows and movies. The ship had many other activities (fitness classes, auctions, computer classes, acupuncture, spa, other presentations, BINGO, shopping, Karaoke) but we chose not to avail ourselves of them. We had a great table on the ship, really cool wait staff and enjoyable tablemates. The ship changed the clock forward an hour on 4 of the 6 days. I have to admit that this is a much kinder way to cross time lines than was our return home on the airplane. The ship was beautiful, but on its way to a major refit.
