20061112 - Tucson

This week we did not do much sightseeing. We both started our exercise programs. Rich is working out on an exercycle, while I am taking classes. So far I am taking Stretch & Strength classes, Yoga classes, and Water Aerobic classes. My knee is feeling much better with the classes. I went to the Monday Morning quilting meeting, but I had a real sugar low and had to leave early so did not get a chance to start the quilting machine. On Monday evening we saw RV (the movie) here at park. Nothing like watching a movie on the mishaps of driving a RV with a bunch of RV’ers. Most of us did not make the same mistakes as Robin Williams but we all have done something equally as funny.

This week we also went to see some fountains at a outdoor shop. We are wanting to get at least one fountain for the yard. We also went to a Nursery to see some local plants. I collect Hedgehogs (animal) but there is also a Hedgehog Cactus. There are 57 varieties of this Cactus. I am thinking of starting a collection of Hedgehog Cactus for the front yard . I wanted to see what these Cactus look like so I could start planning that area of the yard.

Saturday, I spent the entire day working on a quilt for charity for the Voyager Quilt Group. This other woman and I spent the day cutting and sewing. We made real progress but we still have a ways to go before the quilt is completely built. It will be tan and scrappy blue, I think really nice. As soon as we have it mostly done, I will post a photo.

Sunday, Rich and I drove out to the house to take measurements of the rooms so we can begin to plan the furniture. While we were out there we met one of the neighbors (our agent’s husband) and ended up helping him move some items. (A truck is a handy moving vehicle.)
