20061126 - Tucson

Again I spent most of this week quilting. I quilted a baby quilt on the HQ16. This was my last class task for becoming certified on the long arm machine. Anna and I finished work on the quilt we were working on (see photo below) and we have started working on a new quilt. We are making it with some of the group's flannel. I finished work on Keara’s Kwilt (see photo below), a quilt I have been working on for quite some time. And finally, I finished work on the top for The Koi Pond (see photo below), a quilt I recently started. I am hoping to quilt it on the HQ16 this week.

This is the Quilters II Donation Quilt Cabinet with the quilts we will be donating this year. We are about half way to our goal for the year.

Anna & Sue‘s Quilt We are now finished working on this top for a donation quilt. We are very happy with how the top turned out. We are hoping that someone in the group, more experienced at machine quilting, will volunteer to quilt it since it has many places to showcase quilting designs.

Keara’s Kwilt: I have been working on this quilt for several months. It has been difficult to work on a quilt while we are traveling. It still needs to be laundered to fringe the edges and then I will be shipping it off to California.

The Koi Pond: I started this quilt here in Tucson. I need to quilt it on the HQ16 and then I will ship it off to Seattle. I am pretty happy with it so far.

As to the House: Rich and I met with a landscaper. We walked around the yard and talked about what we wanted to do. He is working up a design. We will meet again in December to see what he has come up with.

I am continuing with my morning exercise classes. My knee is still improving.
