April 2007 Travels #2

After we left the cruise, Rich and I went to Disney World. In April 2006, we spent almost 2 weeks camping in the Fifth Wheel in Disney World. At that time we bought 10 day forever tickets and only used 4 days. We figured that since we had already flown to Florida we might as well spend a couple of days at Disney. We decided to spend a day at Epcot and a half day each at Disney MGM and the Disney Animal Kingdom.

Epcot was having a special garden show. I took about a million pictures of flowers, but I won’t bore you with those but

I also took pictures of some of the topiary art. They had many of the Disney characters, but I thought these were very fun.

I also took pictures of Bonsai they were displaying. These were my favs.

I took a whole bunch of pictures of these spitting fountains. As you guess, most missed. Here are some that did not. I love how the water looks solid.

The last time we were at the Animal Kingdom my camera died just before the parade. I loved the animal figures in this parade so this time what I wanted most to do was see the parade again. I love the bright colors of the animals and the humans, the way the animals moved with the walking or biking motion of the human, the way their heads bobbed. I love the way the figures on stilts looked sort of unearthly and yet moved with the human music.

These some of the people on stilts. Their costumes are so colorful.

This is a group of more common animals (somewhat brighter than normal); a Giraffe, Monkey, Buffalo, and Antelope.

This is a flock of birds, not quite sure which is which although I am pretty sure the first one is a peacock.

These are the odd balls yet still wonderful.
