We will be traveling soon

We’re planning a couple of trips in the next few months. First, in November we will be driving to the northwest. We will visit Seattle, Portland, Placerville, and Temecula. It will be a very quick trip. We will spend a few days in Seattle visiting Rich’s cousin John and his wife Ruthanne and their boys (our virtual sons) and their families. Since we left Seattle, we have gained 3 ¾ virtual grand children. We have met the first 2 and are looking forward to meeting the next two. (One not yet arrived, but due any time now.). After we leave Seattle we will drive to Portland for Thanksgiving with my sisters Christine and Sandy and their families. Portland will also be a very short visit as Rich’s brother turns 60 on the 24th and we are going to Placerville to help him celebrate. Then we will be traveling to Temecula to see my brother Mark and his wife Darcy, and my nephew Jason and his family. We will only be gone a little more than a week but will be packing a lot of visiting into that short time.

Just about 2 weeks after we return we will be flying to Fort Lauderdale where we will be boarding the Star Princess for a cruise down the east coast of South America. The cruise is 21 days, but we will be gone from December 19 through January 14. We will be traveling from Fort Lauderdale to Dominica, Barbados, Grenada, Port of Spain, Fortaleza, Recife, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo, and Buenos Aires. After the cruise we will fly to Santiago for a couple more days before we return to Fort Lauderdale and then back to Tucson. In addition to the new Caribbean countries we will see Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, and Chili. Aside from Fort Lauderdale, we have never been to any of the ports, so we are really excited about the trip. On the other hand we had to get yellow fever, Typhoid, and HepA vaccinations as well as a scary introduction to the potential risks with mosquitoes in South America. It felt to me like we were going to be traveling into the deepest darkest jungles.
