I have been trying my hand at other fiber arts (other than quilting).
I crocheted a series of dish cloths in different colors. In general my crocheting has been very uneven but these are so small that it is not a problem. I made several of these to give as gifts. This is one of the ones I kept. I like to use them to keep the sink dry.
I am learning to knit by knitting a scarf for myself. It is about half done.
I love the look of this eyelash yarn, however, working with it is problematical for me. The good news is: because of the ‘eyelashes’ the stitch problems are very hard to see. The bad news is: because of the ‘eyelashes’ the stitches are very hard to see and I have a lot of problems. I keep seeing these scarves and wanting one but my friends keep telling me how easy they are to make and that I should not buy one. You see my dilemma, don’t you? Can’t buy one because I could make one, should make something with easier yarn, but want this. Oh well, it is coming along and as time goes on it is getting easier. Maybe some day I will be able to call myself a knitter.
One of my quilting groups is working through the ‘Art Quilt Workbook’ by Jane Davila and Elin Waterston.
This is my Chapter 2 homework.
Now on to Chapter 3.

Good for you for doing your homework! I'll be interested to see what you do for chapter 3.
Knitting? I thought I had stumbled on someone else's blog!
What is your theme for the Art Quilt Workbook?
