20061210 - Tucson

This week I finished “Keara’s Kwilt” and “A Koi Pond” and mailed them to California and to Seattle. I am still working on three other quilts for Quilters II: a Mystery Quilt, A Rail Fence, and a Nine Patch. I am working on the Mystery and the Nine Patch so that I can do some more Long arm quilting. The Rail Fence is going to be similar to Keara’s Kwilt in that it does not need quilting.

Keara’s Kwilt finished

Keara’s Kwilt - closeup of the frayed edges. This was a fun new technique for me. The hardest part was cutting the edges so that they would fray.

A Koi Pond finished

A Koi Pond: These are closeup photos of the quilting. I had a blast with the Long Arm machine making these ripples in the water.

As to the House: Rich and I signed a contract for the landscaping. We really liked the plan. Since it went so smoothly we were able to roll the landscaping costs into the mortgage.
