This week Rich’s mother ’Geege’ died. She was 88 years old. Luckily for Rich and I, several family members realized that her health was failing fast and let us know. We were then able to get the rig into storage in Bothell, get Max into a kennel, and catch a plane for the San Francisco bay area (Castro Valley). And we arrived in time to spend some time with her. She was not responsive but her nurse thought that she could hear us and knew we were there. Several years ago, when she sold her house, she disposed of most of her belongings and many years ago she and her husband joined the Neptune Society so most of the things that loved ones need to do had already been done. As a result, the only important thing left for us to do was to thank the people who had cared for her during the last few months of her life.
Good Bye Geege. We will miss you, you ‘tough old bird’!

I have many pleasant memories of Geeg and very much respect her in life and death. As I have not seen her in many years, I remember her as very much a family woman, at family get togethers, cooking and joining in, a piece of my youth, young adulthood. Thank you Rich and Sue for including me in that piece of life. Christine
And I remember playing bridge and the family get-togethers. I can also close my eyes and see her clearly from years ago happily being the matriarch of her family. Though I didn't like bridge very much I did really enjoy the family parties. She was indeed a strong lady. Sandy
