20060626 - Conversations

Once again I am having trouble publishing photographs, so I am a little behind in publishing this blog. I think it’s because we do not have very good internet access here.
We will be traveling in Canada for the next month and since we will not have regular internet access I will not be publishing again until late July. By August I should have posted some great pictures of our travels in the Maritimes so be sure to check in.
Sunday evening I watched Law & order - Criminal Intent. Monday, as Rich and I were running some errands in the car, I told Rich about the show. It was about a woman who killed her daughter and framed her boy friend to blackmail him into marrying her. She did this because she was beginning to show symptoms of a fatal genetic defect that was going to leave her both physically and mentally devastated and she did not think her daughter would care for her. She had watched both her father and her uncle die from this disease. As it turned out her boy friend deserted her when he found out. I ended my story with the comment that it would be terrifying to know that that was going to happen to you and have no one you could depend on for help. Then I said “Do you know what is coming next?” And Rich smiled and said “Yes, I will take care of you, Susie.” I love that man.
