20060627 - We visit Baa Habaa, ME (AKA Bar Harbor, Maine)

This week we moved to a campground near Baa Habaa (AKA Bar Harbor, Maine). Baa Habaa is on an island with Acadia National Park. Yesterday and today we drove around the park loop in Acadia National Park. Yesterday it was foggy, grey, and raining. We drove but did not get out of the car . Today it was grey and foggy and sometimes sunny so we drove and walked part of the loop. I love the way the fog seems to flow over the islands. This drive transported us to several other states.

Part of the park was like we had been transported to the San Juan Islands in Washington State.

Now these three seem more like the Northern California coast.

These two are of Thunder Hole and it’s visitors. The day we were there it was really thundering.

6/27 Today we took an afternoon Windjammer cruise on the Margaret Todd, a 151 foot 4-masted schooner. We had a great afternoon on the water. The captain was able to motor away from the dock and then we (not me but several members of the crew and passengers, including Rich, put the sails up and for the rest of the time we sailed among the islands of Frenchman's Bay. It was an awesome trip.
