20060904 - Wyoming

9/04 We started this week South Dakota and will end it in Wyoming. Since I am not sure we will be able to post anything on the weekend, I am splitting the week up.

On Saturday we drove from Spearfish, South Dakota to Buffalo, Wyoming and set up the RV.

On Sunday we drove into Buffalo to see the town. Unfortunately the town was pretty much closed. Then we drove out to see the Dry Creek Petrified Forest. We took a .8 mile walk through the desert to see the petrified forest.

I took some photos of the odd shaped hills

and of the pieces of the forest.

There was one really big stump so I had Rich take a picture of me with it so you could get an idea of how large it was.

Max enjoyed running. He got so dirty, he was quite tan instead of white.

Here’s a picture of Man and his dog. You can see a theme here with other photos of the two of them. When we go on walks, Rich and Max go and I follow.

On our way back we saw some pronghorn by the side of the road.

Max was so dirty he had to have a bath after. Isn’t he handsome?

On Monday we drove from Buffalo, Wyoming to Cody, Wyoming
