20070226 - Tucson

Yesterday we ordered the furniture for the office: 2 desks and a filing cabinet (the places you put things away). They won’t be delivered until March 9 but it is still nice to know they are on the way, especially as I look around at all the stuff on the floor. We also ordered the tables for the great room, you know the coffee table, the sofa table, and the side tables; the horizontal surfaces where you put other stuff.
Today we painted 2 more walls (really 1.5) in the great room. One wall has a window and sliding glass door so it was easy to paint but awful to tape, the other is very tall with a built in shelf and nothing on it so it was easy to tape but more difficult to paint, in fact, we are not finished painting it.
Tomorrow the lady who is working with us on the window treatments is coming to help us select the final colors and then the base window treatments will be on the way. It will be nice to get rid of the sheets on the bedroom window and to not feel like we are living in a fishbowl.
Also tomorrow I will be going to my first meeting with the Quail Creek quilters. I am looking forward to getting involved with this group.
All in all we are making progress, slow but steady.
