It’s amazing how our minds work. I have heard that smells activate our brains and take us back to other places and times. For me, music does a similar thing. While we were driving to Mazatlan we listened to various CDs. One of the CDs was Jimmy Buffet. It doesn’t matter what song I listen to but as soon as he begins to sing I am picked up and deposited to the Florida Keys, watching a sunset, and drinking a Margarita (and I don’t even care for Tequila). Love the music, love the space.
Listening to old rock remind me of American Graffiti music and pops me into a car cruising a California town street in summer in a convertible with the top down. Mind you, I never did it, lived in the area, in the time, watched other kids cruizin, wanted to but never did.
Listening to the Enya CD takes me to working on the computer at my office with my earphones on (where I used to listen and sing along, sorry Camille) so I always feel a little embarrassed, but I still like to belt it out.
