20080311 - Visitors

In the last month we have had 2 set of family visitors.
Over Presidents day, my sister Christine’s son Jason, his wife Maggie, her 4 year old daughter Keara, and their 3 month old son JJ visited us from Temecula, California. Jason and Maggie are moving from California to Pensacola, Florida later this month so we were very pleased they could fit a visit to us into their schedule before they moved. We spent most of their visit getting to know them a little better. Neither of us had a large enough car to take two child seats and 4 adults. Keara and I took Max on several neighborhood walks. (I thought I could wear her out, instead she wore me out and Max had a blast.) Keara was fun and into everything.

And then from Feb 28th to March 3rd our nephew Chris, his wife Louise and their 2 year old son Josh visited us from Seattle. When they inadvertently left the child seat in Seattle we discovered that our neighborhood has a lending closet of child items (including car seats, highchairs and strollers) for all the visiting grandchildren. Chris brought his golf clubs with him so he and Rich played 18 holes - Rich‘s first time here in Quail Creek. Chris also played golf in Tucson with a friend from Phoenix. While Chris was playing golf, Louise and Josh were enjoying the sunshine and our backyard fountain. Max also enjoyed extra walks with the three of us.

Josh - a very active 2 year old (active + 2 year old being somewhat redundant)

Max enjoyed both visits; extra walks and someone his own size to play with.
