20080718 - Quilt Donation

This week we took 23 quilts to the local police department. In my several years of creating donation quilts, this was the first time I was there when the donation was made. It was very nice. The police use the quilts to give to people who have just suffered some kind of loss. They like to leave the quilts so that the encounter with the department ends on a positive note. This department moved to a new facility in February which they are pretty proud of so they took us on complete tour of the facility. It was pretty cool.
